He has just made his first long distance trip as we traveled by train to Kansas City to see his great grandma Sullivan. He did well and made plenty of friends on the train!!

It's been a while since we have updated the blog, but here are some of the latest pictures of Carson from the last few weeks. He is growing quickly and gaining weight daily as he is almost 7 weeks old.

We're out!
We have finally made it out of the hospital. A few days earlier than we expected, but hey, we're not complaining! Carson is doing well and as you can see from the pictures below, he has plenty of growing room in some of the clothes we bought him. It's tough buying for a premie!
This is the real deal now. No nurses to do the 3am and 6am feedings...oh dear.

They got caught...
As we enjoyed a nice night away from the hospital, a few
individuals thought it would be funny to teepee the new
youth pastors car...it was pretty funny! But the joke was on them.
After seeing shadows in the front yard of the house where we were, I was out the back door in no time sprinting around the house and down the street to chase down the perpetrators who forgot their youth pastor still had a little athleticism left in the tank!!!
Long story short, I caught them at their car and introduced myself; as I gasped for air. It was all in good fun, and
I even offered to clean it up for them...this time. But there will
most definitely be a next, and to that I say,
"Let the games begin!"

Finally!
We're not free yet, but we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. We finally got to bring Carson into the room today. He is eating well and off his oxygen and as of right now if he can stay healthy for 5 days in a row, we are out 'a here!
We want to thank anyone who has been praying for Carson and his parents. God has really helped us in these days to adjust and continue to learn how to take care of our little man.
To answer a few questions we got from different comments, yes Carson has hair, and yes our dog Coal has very bad gas!!! There are times when we have to open all the windows and air out the house because he sat in his box all day releasing a continuous flatulation. We miss him in this time of transition though.
Counting down the days until we can settle into normalcy.
